About Cursive Underline

Cursive underline combines two Unicode techniques. Supported letters are first mapped to Mathematical Script characters, then U+0332 Combining Low Line is added beneath each non-space character. The result can be copied as text and gives a short phrase the appearance of an underlined handwritten signature.

Because script letters and combining marks are rendered by the receiving font, their appearance and underline alignment can vary. Numbers remain ordinary because Mathematical Script has no dedicated digit set. Use this style for a name, motto, or short credit rather than a paragraph, and keep important account information in regular text for accessibility and search.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is cursive underline created?+

The generator maps supported letters to Mathematical Script Unicode characters and adds U+0332 Combining Low Line after each non-space character.

Does cursive underline work in Instagram?+

It commonly works in Instagram fields that preserve Unicode script characters and combining marks. Paste a short test because glyph and underline rendering can vary by device.

Why are the numbers not cursive?+

Unicode Mathematical Script provides letters but no matching digit set, so numbers pass through as ordinary characters while still receiving the underline.

Is this searchable as normal cursive text?+

Styled Unicode letters are distinct code points, so search systems may not treat them as the plain letters they resemble. Keep searchable names or keywords in normal text too.
