Add a controlled corrupted effect to a short warning.
Add a restrained set of Unicode combining marks for subtle glitch text that stays more readable than medium or heavy Zalgo.
Start with one of these ideas, then replace it with your own words in the generator above.

Give a brief seasonal line an eerie texture.

Light Zalgo adds a small number of Unicode combining marks above and below each non-space character. The base letters stay intact, so the result looks glitched without the extreme vertical overflow produced by heavier Zalgo styles. The marks are characters rather than an image filter and usually remain attached when copied into fields that preserve combining Unicode.
Use this lighter setting for short horror titles, gamer names and seasonal captions where readability still matters. Rendering is controlled by the receiving font and app: marks may shift, overlap nearby lines or be normalized away. Avoid using Zalgo for essential instructions, account handles or long paragraphs, and keep a plain-text version available for accessibility. If an app clips the marks, reduce the phrase length or use ordinary text instead.
Light zalgo adds approximately 2 random combining characters above and 2 below each letter — subtle enough to remain readable while visually distorting the text.
Yes — light zalgo is more readable and less likely to cause rendering issues in Instagram bios and captions.
The generator selects combining marks from a small pool, so repeated conversions can produce a slightly different glitch pattern.
Yes. Combining marks extend above and below the base letters, and some apps increase or clip line height to accommodate them.
