About Underline Text

Underline text uses Unicode combining character U+0332 (Combining Low Line) placed after each letter to draw an underline. Like the strikethrough combining character, this works anywhere Unicode renders — producing underlined text in platforms that have no native underline formatting option.

Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter have no built-in underline support for regular text fields. Unicode combining underline fills this gap.
